What is Colour5K?

Colour5k is one of the craziest fun runs you will ever experience and great to do with friends, family or colleagues. The aim is to have a good time: You can run, walk or stroll at your pace - speed is not a priority, colour is…..

Every kilometre there is a colour zone that runners pass through. Here, willing helpers known as the Colour Bandits shower you and your white t-shirt with our special 100% safe colour powder, with each colour zone having a specific colour. As you go, the colours build, until by the end of the course you have become a masterpiece.

At the finish line we have a huge colour extravaganza, where you get to throw colour at your friends, family and people you don’t know (yet!).

Whether you’re a casual walker or sport crazy, want some fun or to raise money for charity, you will love this event. Runners come from all different backgrounds and have one thing in common; they love fun!

There is one rule: You wear white at the start, like a blank canvas and then let the colour begin.

Minimum age for participation is 6 years old.

All under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.

Charity Partners

We work directly with charities local to each of our events. If you are a charity and want to know more, then please contact us directly. Or if you’re a runner and want to raise funds for your chosen charity, this is great event for fund raising.

We also work with local businesses; there are loads of ways you can get involved and have your business help the local community.

Colour Bandits

If you are unable to run and would  like  to shower your family or friends in a multitude of colours become a Colour Bandit. For £10.00 you get the opportunity to be in the middle of the action throwing paint in one of the 5 colour zones. You will also get a free Colour Bandit T-Shirt. If you do choose to be Colour Bandit, please be aware that you will be required to follow the Marshals instructions. Failure to do this will result in you being removed from the colour zone for the welfare of the runners. All children in the colour zone must be accompanied by a paying adult.

What is the colour made of?

The fantastic colour powder we use is manufactured and produced right here in the UK and is used extensively by schoolchildren, artists and a host of other organisations such as Student Unions, TV companies and the Holi Festival Union. It is 100% non-toxic, safe and biodegradable. The colour powder conforms to all relevant parts of the European Toy Safety regulations (EN71) and is classified under Arts & Craft.

As with any substance, you will want to keep it out of your eyes and avoid inhaling it. If you are sensitive, you may want to wear glasses or goggles for your eyes and use a bandana or dust mask for your mouth (this is especially recommended for our younger runners/walkers).

Spectators

Spectators are welcome to come along and cheers family and friends along the route. We do ask that no spectators enter the colour zones.

If Spectators wish to throw paint at the final colour extravaganza, they are welcome to purchase paint from the paint kiosk.
